The Marine Patrol Unit, as part of the Uniform Services Division is responsible for patrolling waterways, enforcing boating safety laws, responding to water-related emergencies, and promoting the safe use of Michigan's lakes and rivers. Our Marine staff consists of MCOLES Licensed Law Enforcement and seasonal Certified Marine Deputies who specialize in providing law enforcement services and water rescue.
